'Exelon patch 5cm' (i.e 5cm patch) containsrivastigmine INN 9mg, the release rate is
4.6mg/24 hour.  'Exelon patch 10cm' (i.e 10cm patch) containsrivas tigilline INN 18mg; the release rate is 9.Smg/24 hour.
Dosage & admin: Initiation and re-initiation of therapy should start with one 'Exelon patch 5cm' each day. If well tolerated, it may be increased after a minimum of 4 weeks of treatment to one 'Exelon patch 1 Ocm' each day
which is the recommended maintenance dose. Patients treated by Exelon capsules or oral suspension with a maintenance dose of 6mg to 12mg may be switched to 'Exelon patch 10cm'.
